TO MY ALMA MATER

On March 13, 2020, COVID-19 hit Venezuela. That same day, I was graduating as a medical doctor. I was blessed to be part of the last group of students who had a traditional ceremony at the iconic Aula Magna hall at the Universidad Central de Venezuela.

Amidst the pandemic, I sought to preserve and recreate that special moment so other graduates could have an AR alternative. This site-specific AR experience anchors Alexander Calder’s signature Floating Clouds installation - which adorns the auditorium - to the adjacent Hans Arp’s Cloud Shepherd sculpture."
